It's not common that you find an audio professional on the level of Zach Allen. From creative ideas to a deep and thorough understanding of each piece of gear he uses, Zach flawlessly creates a studio environment that makes it easy for artists to reach their next performance level.
Zach made the move to Nashville in 2007 after graduating from Full Sail University. He quickly landed an internship at The Tracking Room Studio, where he later became the Head Engineer. In 2014, he branched out on his own and began working independently on numerous projects across genres. He has spent the last twelve years honing his skills as not only a recording engineer, but also as a producer, songwriter, and mix engineer.
After receiving two Grammy awards and recording both legends and emerging artists, Zach continues to find ways to bring creativity and passion to any project he works on.
KEB’ MO’ RELEASES “OKLAHOMA”
June 14, 2019—Keb’ Mo’ released his fourteenth studio album titled “Oklahoma”. Featured artists include Taj Mahal, Rosanne Cash, Robert Randolph, and Jaci Velasquez. This is the third album Zach has worked on with Keb’. When asked what it’s like to work with him,’ Zach said, “He is a special talent and a special man. Every day I work with him I know I will leave the studio a better man.”
“KINGFISH” ALBUM DEBUTS AT #1 ON 2 BILLBOARD CHARTS
May 17, 2019—Christone “Kingfish” Ingram’s self-titled debut album debuted at #1 on both the Blues and Heatseeker Billboard charts. Zach was the primary Recording Engineer on the project which includes a duet with Blues Legend Buddy Guy.
“THE BLUES IS ALIVE AND WELL” WINS GRAMMY FOR BEST TRADITIONAL BLUES ALBUM
February 10, 2019—Zach received his second Grammy after working as a Recording Engineer on Buddy Guy’s 2018 release “The Blues is Alive and Well”. The album includes guest appearances by Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, James Bay, and the Muscle Shoals Horns.
"TAJMO" wins GRAMMY FOR BEST CONTEMPORARY BLUES ALBUM
January 28, 2018—Zach Allen has won his first Grammy as the Recording Engineer on "TAJMO," a once in a lifetime collaboration between Blues Legends Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo.' The album also features work from Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, Lizz Wright, and Sheila E. among others.
